I only got to the headline before my jaw dropped.
Took me a little longer. I generally pride myself on being resistant to alarmism, but the way this article was written is profoundly frightening. By the time I got to the end, I was feeling creeped out.
Now, I probably won't stay scared for that long, but even so, I have to commend this writer's storytelling skills. The focus on a central narrative, with its tragic asides, is damn engaging. I love the political jab, slipped in there for good measure, too.
